The New York Central System Historical Society is pleased to announce a new, very important fund-raising project. The Board of Directors has watched the efforts of the Danbury Railway Museum in the ongoing project to save the NYC S Motor and T Motor in Glenmont, NY.  To try to maximize our contribution, it was decided to create a matching funds program. The NYCSHS will match all donations up to a $5,000 total. We sincerely believe this is a worthwhile project and want to provide as much help as possible. Please consider contributing to save the very first S Motor and the only remaining T Motor.

This is an important project and the NYCSHS wants to provide a $10,000 contribution to the project but needs our member’s help to accomplish that.

The graphic at the top of the page includes The “Help Save America’ Historic Locomotives” and photos of the electrics. The graphic will be used to chart the progress of the campaign over the next few weeks as a visual representation of the Society’s progress toward the $10.000 goal. Updates will appear on our website and our MailChimp emails so you can track our progress. This was proven effective in previous fund-raising campaigns.

All proceeds donated to the NYCSHS are tax deductible and an acknowledgement of the contribution will be provided for those contributions over  $250 as provided for by the IRS.
