Volume 3 for 2012 of the NYCentral Modeler is now available on the NYCSHS website.  This issue contains more articles than any previous issue. This 75-page edition is again the biggest one yet and features many photos and the biographies of all of the authors.  You will even see photos of some of our member’s layouts, important information about the Society, and details on the 2013 NYCSHS Convention to be held in Poughkeepsie, New York, next spring.

We are pleased to feature articles by several authors bringing you topics including: “Modeling the NYC in Albany,” by Alan Bell, “2012 NYCSHS Convention Layouts” by Noel Widdifield, an interview with NYCSHS Webmaster Otto Vondrak, “Modeling the NYC Michigan Division” by Jim Six, “NYC West Side Freight Lines – Part 1” by Ron Parisi, and “Kitbashing Steam Locomotives – Part 2” by Tom Bailey.

The issue has coverage of the many New York Central models coming out currently and in the near future.  Jim Benedict, Associate Editor, who also writes a similar feature in the NYCSHS Central Headlight, gives us the latest.

NYCSHS President, R. L. Stoving, writes about “Come on Up” in his regular feature telling us about an event over sixty years ago that shaped his interest in trains.  He also offers a free copy of the NYCSHS Central Headlight to those of you who think you might be interested in joining our Society, but just don’t know for sure.
