The 2nd Quarter 2012 issue of the NYCentral Modeler is available for download from the NYCSHS web site (it’s a PDF file, you’ll need the free Acrobat Reader software to open it) This issue contains more articles than any previous issue.  This 72-page edition is the biggest one yet and features many photos and the biographies of all of the authors.  You will even see photos of some of our members’ layouts, important information about the Society, and more details on the 2012 NYCSHS Convention.

We are pleased to feature articles by several authors bringing you topics including Andy Szabo’s “Bershire Division,”  Geoffrey Bunza’s “Crossbucks & Crossing Gates,” Mike Tylick’s “Anderson, Indiana, Depot in G Scale,” Mike Fisher’s “Fictional NYC Secondary Line,” and Jerry Halls’ “Creating Mini-Scenes.” Will Boyle explains how he installed LED lighting for the Century, and we continue with the second part on Ron Parisi’s West Side Freight Line. Dave Mackay will show us how to take responsibility for a booth at a train show and encourages us to “Grow the Society.” In addition, Associate Editor Jim Benedict reports on the latest New York Central models coming to market.

Our readers continue to comment very favorably on each issue.  We hope to motivate more of you to contact us about featuring your layout or collection in one of our future issues.  Don’t be afraid to help us show off your NYC modeling. We will help you with photographing your models and writing the article. We can provide a style guide, sample article and some photo tips to all who are interested. We really do want to help you show off your NYC models and layouts.
